Updates

Work on the CNVC is ongoing and updates are made to the site as portions of the classification are confirmed. Check this page for the most recently developed and updated material.

Current Status of the Classification (Explore the Hierarchy)

• All units have been confirmed at the upper (5) levels of the hierarchy (October 2014)
• The boreal forest portion of the hierarchy is complete at all levels, although some factsheets are still in development (June 2018)
• Factsheets for the following Macrogroups (level 5) are complete and uploaded: Boreal forests -- M495, M496, M299; Pacific (Vancouverian) forests: M024, M025, M886; Rocky Mountain forests: M500, M501, M020, M890; Great Plains grasslands and woodlands: CM332, CM051, M054, M151, M028 (June 2018)
• Abstracts are available for units at the first three levels (Formation Class, Formation Subclass, and Formation) and full factsheet descriptions are available through links to the USNVC site (June 2015) 

Updates to the Website

A new version of the website was launched in June 2015. Currently, most of the new or redesigned pages are only available in English, but French translations are in progress. The information contained in the new version of the site is essentially the same as the previous version, but it is displayed in a format that we hope will make it more useable. Please feel free to contact the webmaster with any concerns or comments.
